The Governor’s office recently released a list of cuts that targets education, safety and other areas across the board throughout the state. Every state department was asked to reduce their budget by 4%. The possible state cuts total $132 million. It includes closing several correctional facilities. But those facilities have not been identified. The state could also reduce expenditures at mental health facilities.
