Linkhorne Elementary School has started fundraising efforts for its new playground. The playground is referred to as PAL, which stands for Play At Linkhorne. It serves children not only from Linkhorne Elementary School, but also from the greater Lynchburg area. As part of its fundraising efforts, Linkhorne has applied for a $50,000 grant from Clorox. The grant is awarded based on online and text votes. The school entry with the most overall votes wins $50,000. Linkhorne is competing with 509 schools in the Play category and is gaining momentum.
