A local man will get a shot at a world kickboxing title in the New Year. 43 year old, Kent Eanes of Hurt announced this week that he will fight Dave Thomas, of Northern Virginia for the WKKO Junior Middleweight World Title in a 12-round bout in the summer of 2013. The Altavista Journal reports, the fight is on a card which includes professional boxing, professional mixed martial arts and professional kickboxing matches. According to the article, the event will also feature Lynchburg’s Scott (Cujo) Sigmon in a professional boxing match. The match will be held on Aug. 6 at the Ruritan Club building in Boonsboro.
