Renowned Poet Will Visit The Area

Renowned poet Maya Angelou will speak about poetry, courage, childhood memories and heritage at Randolph College next month. The 84-year-old Angelou, who has written novels and films and won Grammy awards as well as the Presidential Medal of the Arts, will speak January 29th at 7 p.m. at the Smith Hall Theater. Tickets aren’t necessary, but seating will be limited.
