Soldiers Expected Home At Fort Lee Today

Just in time for the holidays, 19 soldiers from Fort Lee are heading back to Virginia. The soldiers from the Army’s 612th Movement Control Detachment are due home from Afghanistan early Thursday. The detachment is returning after a nine-month deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The 612th is part of the 530th Combat Sustainment Support Brigade and one of the few deployable units based at Fort Lee.
