The National Park Service has announced a revised effort to seek a new concessions operator for the Peaks of Otter Lodge. Park officials on Monday released a revised plan for the management contract which states that anyone who takes over the lodge off the Blue Ridge Parkway will no longer have to buy out the old operators. The National Park Service has paid off the amount that was owed and has removed requirements to operate other locations, but still seeks the same 10-year contract for the lodge in Bedford County. The Park Service will take offers until Feb. 6. For more information visit concessions.nps.gov
