Town Reversion Goes Before Judges This Week

Bedford’s plan to convert to a town is going to a judicial panel for review on Tuesday. Bedford and Bedford County officials will present the plan to a three-judge panel, which will review the proposal. The officials expect the judges will approve the plan. If that happens, Bedford will switch to a town system of government in July 2013. South Boston and Clifton Forge are the only cities in Virginia that have reverted to town status.
