VDOT Has Prepared For Winter

Virginia Department of Transportation officials say they’re ready for winter. Although the agency already has spent more than three-million dollars on snow removal from unusual fall storms including Superstorm Sandy, there’s another 145-million in the budget for snow-removal in the coming months. VDOT says it will test out pilot programs involving new technologies, processes and equipment aimed at quicker response times.
