A corridor study is underway on a stretch of road in Appomattox. Managed in cooperation with the Virginia Department of Transportation, a private consulting firm will examine just over 1mile between Confederate Boulevard and the Appomattox Courthouse National Historic Park. Several meetings will be held, including several open to the public. Updates on the study will be presented during the town council’s monthly work sessions in February, March and April. The study consists of seven tasks and is slated to be complete by the fourth week of April.
