Brick Campaign Underway For Fifth Street Project

The Fifth Street Community Development Corp., a citizen-led nonprofit is working to memorialize Fifth Street, by placing four historic markers at the corners of the Lynchburg roundabout. The organization is selling bricks that can be engraved with a name or message of the donor’s choosing and installed along the corridor. Fifth Street is a state and nationally recognized historic site. The city launched a major initiative to revitalize the area, and the CDC was formed to help spearhead improvement projects. They plan to sell about 200 more bricks to complete the project
