The Campbell County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday considered a list of top priorities and examined several initiatives highlighted as the most crucial in the coming budget year. County officials plan to focus on implementing a local storm-water management program and evaluating county staff positions. Other top priorities for fiscal year 2014 include developing social media policies as well as a long-term citizen engagement model to get residents involved in local government decision processes. Before a budget can be designed, a full list of proposals must be brought back for final approval at the board’s Feb. 5 meeting.
