Centra Cancer Care Receives Accreditation

Centra Cancer Care Services has earned a three-year full accreditation from the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. Centra provides cancer care for patients and their families throughout Central Virginia and in 2008 opened the Alan B. Pearson Regional Cancer Center, which brought radiation and medical oncology into one facility. The Commission on Cancer counts 1,500 cancer centers across the nation in their membership –only 25 percent of the care programs receive recognition.
