City Officials Against Raising Stormwater Fee

Lynchburg officials are recommending that the new stormwater fee stay the same next year. Earlier, staff had thought they might want to increase it by 6-percent. According to the News and Advance, the fee has generated 15-percent more revenue that than expected in its first year. The fee amounts to 4-dollars per month per household. It’s paying for upgrades to the city’s pollution control efforts.
