CVTC Still On Minds Of Lawmakers

A bill before the General Assembly would put a moratorium on closingthe Central Virginia Training Center in Madison Heights and three other state institutions for intellectually disabled people. The state and the justice department have agreed to close the facilities by 2020, but Senator Richard Black wants that decision to be up to legislators rather than the governor. A similar measure failed last year.
