Downtown Parking Still An Issue In Lynchburg

A new study recommends higher parking fees and paid on-street parking in downtown Lynchburg. City leaders are looking at the idea of a new downtown parking deck and how to pay for it. According to the News and Advance, the feasibility study says the city could make 580-thousand dollars a year with paid on street parking. It’s recommending the city implement a street meter program and increase hourly and monthly parking fees in the city’s off-street decks. City Council and parking officials will discuss the study today.
