1/24/13: Local forecasters say when it comes to Friday’s snow event– there will be some that hardly see anything and others a getting few inches. Instead of the heavy and wet kind of snow from last week, weather experts say the air this week has been cold enough to support a very fluffy and dry snow. According to meteorologists, dry snow events, don’t take as much moisture in the atmosphere and once the snow starts to fall it sticks fast and accumulates quickly. The National Weather Service says snow is expected to fall in Central Virginia between 3 and 7 tomorrow evening with one to two inches possible in the Lynchburg area.
