EMS Responsers Need Help To Give Help

Campbell County officials are working to improve EMS response times throughout the county. The News & Advance reports an underlying issue and likely cause for delays, is that there aren’t enough people who are able to provide volunteer services. The County has applied measures to recruit more volunteers and to keep those they already have. There’s also an ongoing effort to reduce the number of non-emergency calls for EMS services. The county is working on a public relations and public education program to remind residents of when it’s appropriate to call 911 and when to look for other resources for help.
