Felon’s Right To Vote Moves On To Full Senate

Constitutional amendments that would automatically restore voting rights to non-violent felons will be considered by a full Virginia Senate after a tie vote yesterday in a Senate subcommittee. The amendments, which were rejected Monday by a House subcommittee, would apply to non-violent felons who have completed their prison terms and paid all their fines and fees. The amendments have the support of Governor Bob McDonnell and Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli.
