The Lynchburg City School Board will review the first draft of the 2013-14 school year budget this evening. According to the News & Advance, the draft will likely include money for initiatives discussed during board meetings last month, such as creating an elementary school alternative education program and expanding elementary school gifted education. The Assistant Superintendent for Operations and Administration is expected to give a presentation about potential cost estimates for construction of a new or mostly new Heritage High School.
