Former Supervisor Pleads Guilty In Bedford County

Former Bedford County Supervisor Tony Ware is pleading guilty to six charges of embezzlement and money laundering. Ware entered the pleas yesterday in Bedford County Circuit Court, saying he stole money from an account at the Big Island Volunteer Fire Department dedicated to children whose mother had died and the estate of a woman Ware had managed until she died. Thirteen charges were dropped as part of the plea deal.
