Jobless Rate Drops To Four Year Low

The December unemployment rate in Virginia is the lowest in four years. The state’s rate fell from five-point-six-percent to five-point-five-percent, despite seeing a loss of five-thousand jobs. In the District, the jobless rate rose from eight-point-three-percent to eight-point-five-percent while in Maryland the rate held steady at six-point-six-percent.
