Lots To Do For Virginia Lawmakers

The state’s General Assembly returns to work this week. The 2013 legislature convenes Wednesday and will tackle a to-do-list of issues ranging from teacher’s pay, road funding, voter ID restrictions and uranium mining to abortion and contraceptives. The General Assembly meets annually, beginning on the second Wednesday in January. The Senate of Virginia and the Virginia House of Delegates, both bodies of the Virginia Legislature, meet in the Capitol building in Richmond.
