Man Will Go To Jail For One Year For Embezzling & Forgery

A former Rockfish Valley Community Center manager has been sentenced to serve a year in prison for embezzling and forgery. 26 year old, Aaron Scott Messer admitted to forging the checks and pleaded guilty. According to the Nelson County Times, Messer was already on probation from another forgery case, in Hanover County. He was sentenced to five years in prison for each of four felony charges —three counts of forging a check and one count of embezzlement — with all but one year suspended.
