New Facility Will Offer More For Area Seniors

Construction on a new senior living community in the area will be underway soon. A groundbreaking ceremony was held Tuesday at the site for the new Runk and Pratt facility at Liberty Village on Candlers Mountain in Campbell County. The proposed 173 units will offer independent living, assisted living, and memory care with room for more than 200 residents. The 15 million dollar facility is expected to open early next year, it will employ about 100 workers and offer training opportunities for students at Liberty University’s medical school, which is also under construction.
