Jonathan Agee’s lawyer says a plea deal could come this week in Montgomery County to an attempted murder charge. The former Franklin County Sheriff’s deputy faces life in prison after pleading “no contest” last week to murdering his ex-wife in Roanoke in 2011. After shooting Jennifer Agee, the 33-year-old got into a shootout with a state trooper, and both were wounded. Agee’s lawyer plans to present evidence of “roid rage.” He says the former deputy’s steroid use led to the violence.
