The Amherst County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a grand larceny that occurred between 5 Sunday evening and 11 Monday morning. Three Husqvarna chain saws, an eight foot Stihl pole saw, and several fuel cans were taken from a logging truck parked on Franklin Creek Road near Mt. Pleasant in the far north western area of Amherst County. Anyone with any knowledge of the crime or the identity of the individuals involved is urged to call Crime Stoppers– Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information regarding this crime.
