Redristricting Plan To Be Looked At By Bedford Supervisors

The committee assigned to drawing up a redistricting blueprint, for the city of Bedford’s transition to a town, will present its findings to the Bedford County Board of Supervisors today. The county would absorb the new town when the city gives up its independent status in July. Following this evening’s work session with committee members, Supervisors are expected to take action on the number of election districts needed in a post-reversion Bedford County. Regular redistricting is required every decade and Bedford County’s most recent took place in 2011.
