Request Made For More Buoys At Claytor Lake

Appalachian Power is proposing to add 14 navigational buoys at Claytor Lake in Southwest Virginia. AP reports that the buoys would be located in an area where shallow water and soft mud routinely cause boat rudders to get stuck. The 4,500-acre lake has 39 existing buoys. Appalachian Power has submitted its proposal to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
