Halifax County Supervisors are none-to-thrilled with the idea of redeveloping former fairground property with the purpose of hosting concerts, festivals, and other special events. The Gazette-Virginian reports, supervisor say they were expecting a feasibility and viability study on possibilities of how that land could be used differently. According to the County Administrator, the property was purchased for the purpose of bringing jobs to and for the betterment of the county. Planners will get back to work on finding other economic and industrial development uses for the property.
