Survey Shows Those Against Uranium Mining Has Slight Advantage

A new report reveals that over half of Virginia business leaders surveyed say they oppose lifting a 20 year uranium mining ban. The survey found that “slightly more than one half” of those surveyed believe that going forward, there should be a balanced approach between business growth and environmental protection. The survey says that business leaders will benefit from “more accessible information” about mining. The business attitude study was presented on Tuesday to the Governor appointed Uranium Working Group.
