“To Do” List Outlined In General Assembly

Virginia lawmakers have carved out their priorities for the legislative year. House Democrats and Republicans outlined their “to do” lists for the new year yesterday. Republicans are making clear they will be pushing their initiatives involving job creation, transportation and education for grades K to 12. Democrats have set addressing the state’s voting laws at the top of their agenda. The Democrats intend to introduce several bills this year to amend the state Constitution to restore voting rights automatically.
