The future of the Sacramento Kings may be known today. The Mayor of Virginia Beach says he’ll pull the plug on plans to build a new arena complex if a lease with a professional team isn’t signed by today. The city is reportedly courting the Kings to town, but the Kings’ owners aren’t commenting. In 2011 the Kings attempted to move to Anaheim, but league officials convinced them to stay in Sacramento and work with the city to build a new downtown sports complex. The team’s owners, however, backed out of the deal last spring.
