Another Member Of Holiday Burglary Gang Is Behind Bars

Authorities say a fifth person has been arrested and another is being sought in connection with a string of Christmastime burglaries in Bedford. 20 year old, Tanisha Nelson of Roanoke has been charged with five counts of grand larceny and two counts of larceny of a firearm. Ms. Nelson and Nathan, “Tug” Nelms are suspected to be part of the group involved in five break-ins across the county between Christmas Eve and Jan. 4. Nelson is being held on a 25-thousand dollar bond while police continue their search for Elms. Investigators believe the group may also be connected to a stolen vehicle from Bedford and four break-ins in Roanoke. Anyone with information reported to crime stoppers may be eligible for a reward.
