Beware Telemarketing Scam

The Campbell County sheriff’s office is warning residents about telemarketers trying to sell refrigerator magnets to county residents. They claim to be calling on behalf of the sheriff’s office, but the sheriff says he has nothing to do with the company. The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office is affiliated with three groups that sell items using its name. They are the National Child Safety Council; Department Calendars, LLC; and the Virginia Sheriff’s Institute.
