Campbell Avenue Is Open & Power Is Back On

A portion of Campbell Avenue in Lynchburg was closed while first responders and city officials spent much of the pre-dawn hours cleaning up following a crash that knocked down a utility pole around 12:30 this morning. According to City police, all lanes in both direction between North Durham and School Lanes were closed. Electricity was also knocked out to most residents and businesses in the Fairview Heights area. The Lynchburg Department of Emergency Services says Campbell Avenue is back open. All power is restored.
