Athletic Programs

 

Youth and Adult Karate Classes 

$40.00/per student, 6 years and up, per 5 week course (two nights a week, 10 sessions total)

 

Current students MUST register for the upcoming session by the last class date of the current session or come by the office to register for upcoming classes. New students must register at the Recreation office. PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER IN ADVANCE. Please note – If your name does not appear on the class roster, you will not be admitted in class.

League Rosters must accompany league fees.  To qualify to play in this league, at least one half (1/2) of the team members must live or work in Campbell County.

40th Anniversary Celebration

This spring marks the 40th Anniversary of Campbell County Recreation Department’s Senior Programs Division.  To celebrate this momentous occasion, staff is planning an extraordinary event for center members and group participants.

“Walking in America”  Walking Program

Special Events/Programs

 

Community Conversation on Aging

A public forum, hosted by the Central Virginia Area Agency on Aging, the Beard Center, Campbell County Recreation and the Campbell County TRIAD Chapter will be held on March 7, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. in the Haberer Building Boardroom in Rustburg (47 Courthouse Lane).   The Campbell County Recreation Department, in collaboration with the local TRIAD chapter, the Central Virginia Area Agency on Aging (CVAAA), and the Beard  Center on Aging cordially invite you to participate in a public forum, geared towards discussing existing services and resources for the senior community.  All members of the public are invited to attend and share their thoughts and feedback.  For more information, please contact Sandy Becton at (434) 332-9570, 283-9570 or 592-9570.

 

TRIAD/S.A.L.T. Council Meeting

The next meeting of the Campbell County Chapter of the TRIAD/S.A.L.T. (Seniors and Law Enforcement Together) Committee will be held on March 7, 2013 at 3:00 p.m.  All senior adults are invited to attend. We invite you to be an advocate for your community and the elderly.  The TRIAD-SALT Council is an integral part of community policing, with a focus on reducing unwarranted fear of crime and on improving the quality of life for seniors.  Join TRIAD-SALT, and help make a difference in the lives of many.  For more information, please contact LT. Lunch with the Easter Bunny

Participants ages, 3 – 12 years of age will enjoy lunch, decorate a holiday cupcake and create a special “bunny” craft.  The activity will be followed by a visit with the Easter Bunny as well as a toy & sticker-filled egg hunt. Art in the Courthouse Square

This special event provides a peaceful, serene setting that allows artists of all media to showcase and sell their work. Artists may submit their work for judging by requesting an application.
