City’s New Dog Park Will Close For Several Weeks

Lynchburg’s new dog park at the Blackwater Creek Athletic Area, has been so popular… it’s already starting to wear out. It’s only been open for eight months, but the grassy field is already gone. According to WDBJ, the park will close for the entire month of March so that crews can plant new grass. Cement pads and brick patios will also be installed at the park’s two entrances. Those areas have turned muddy, because of the large number of animals going in and out. The large dog area should reopen April 1 and the small dog section will be ready in May.
