Couple Escapes Valentines Day Fire At Home

It was a scary Valentines Day for one local couple. Both were taken to Lynchburg General after a fire broke out in their home on Ardmore Drive shortly before 2 Thursday afternoon. According to firefighters, the husband was found trying to get his wife, who was in the home at the time of the fire, out of the home safely. She is said to be in serious condition after suffering smoke inhalation.
