Father Brings Handgun Into Daughter’s School

A Chesterfield County man faces charges of bringing a handgun into an elementary school. 33-year-old Michael S. Berry was carrying the 9mm handgun in a holster on his side when he went to A.M. Davis Elementary School to pick up his daughter last week. Virginia law does allow citizens to openly carry firearms in most public places. Restrictions include schools and courthouses.
