Residents of Lake Vista are asking the federal government to help them get rid of the geese at the lake. They say the birds are creating a health hazard with their droppings. The homeowner’s association has tried noisemakers and firecrackers but the geese always come back. Under the USDA’s goose control program, the birds would be rounded up and put to sleep by wildlife experts. A USDA agent is expected to visit this summer to study the idea.
