Liberty Ridge Welcomes Grace Lodge Patients

Former residents of Grace Lodge are settling into their new home. All 27 patients now have been moved to the newly built facility on Candlers Mountain. Liberty Ridge Nursing Home was completed this year and residents began moving in last week. According to the News & Advance, the change has been in the works for some time. Over two years ago, the Roanoke-based senior housing operator, Smith/Packett Med-Com, bought the healthcare license under which Grace Lodge operated and soon after proposed growing the home from 44 to 90 beds in a larger building. The expansion was approved by the General Assembly in 2011.
