Lynchburg Receives End Of The Line Funding For CSO

Lynchburg will get 30-million dollars for its Combined Sewer Overflow project in the budget that passed the General Assembly over the weekend. The CSO work is designed to keep sewage from flooding into the James River during rainstorms. Under the budget agreement, Lynchburg won’t be allowed to ask the state for any more money for the project and must complete it within 10 years.
