Region 2000 Workforce Hope To Help Both Sides With New Plan

The Region 2000 Workforce Investment Board on Tuesday approved a three-year strategic plan. It’s been a six-month process to formulate; work began in August with a planning committee collecting employer input by way of online surveys and roundtable discussions. The outcome of the fact-gathering process was a plan designed to respond to the needs of area employers; it lays out general goals to achieve such as supporting growth in the emergent workforce while enhancing the existing workforce. The plan calls for committees to work on market services for both employers and job seekers through collaboration with the business sector and promotion of organizational efforts.
