Study Shows One School Property Suitable For Another

A study conducted by a local architectural firm confirms the suitability of the Liberty High School campus in Bedford for a new middle school building. The project is mandated by the city of Bedford reverting to a town this summer. The new middle school would replace Bedford Middle in Bedford, which would remain under ownership of the town; the county would lease the current middle school while the new one is built. The report shows three options available for a 700-student middle school. The new school is targeted for completion in August 2016. The board will likely hold a public hearing on the matter in April.
