Tech Makes Plans For Remembrance Event

Virginia Tech is releasing plans for the 2013 Day of Remembrance, marking the sixth anniversary of the campus massacre in which 32 people were killed. The commemoration will begin at one minute past midnight on April 16th with a candle lighting in front of Burruss Hall, the recitation of the victims’ names and the school’s Corps of Cadets standing watch for 32 minutes. In addition, a moment of silence will take place at 9:43 a.m., state flags will fly at half-staff and the three-point-two-mile Run in Remembrance will be held
