UVA Students To Vote On Honor Code Changes

Students at the University of Virginia will vote this week on a proposed change to the school’s honor system – which prohibits students from lying, cheating or stealing. The proposal would eliminate juries of random students. It also would give the accused an opportunity to confess and face a one-year suspension instead of expulsion. If approved, it would be the first major change to the system in years.
