A dozen cardiovascular research projects at Virginia Commonwealth University are getting financial support from the American Heart Association. AP reports, the university received grants totaling more than $2 million from the Mid-Atlantic Affiliate this week. Since 1972, VCU has received more than $12 million from the heart association for cardiovascular research projects.
