Central Virginia Community College is doing more to help students transitioning from the military, into school. Monday, they celebrated the opening of their new Veteran Resource Center. According to the School Veterans Coordinator, the space has been utilized since the beginning of the fall semester last year, but wasn’t fully completed until this year. School officials say about 30 students come through the center every day. About 180 students at CVCC have served in the military. The Student Veterans Organization has about 250 members, including former students.
