Water Issues For Some Wintergreen Residents

Wintergreen-area residents last week were sent letters warning them of elevated lead content recently found in drinking water. The Nelson County Service authority was issued a lead and copper citation in January by the Virginia Department of Health. Recommendations include running water for 15 to 30 seconds, or until it becomes cold, before using it for drinking or cooking and especially for preparing baby formula.
