Weekend Time For Felons Bill Moves Forward

A measure allowing felons to serve weekend time behind bars is moving on. A House subcommittee last night signed off on the bill. Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli says only people who have been convicted of misdemeanors and traffic violations can take part in the program. The measure goes to the full House Criminal Courts Committee today. The legislation which passed in the Senate last week expands the state code to include all criminal and traffic offenses.
